Where to Buy Olive Oil in Seville
They call it “liquid gold”.
That’s how treasured olive oil is in Spain, it’s compared to precious metals. It’s not hard to see why, either!
Not only is this stuff completely delicious, it’s also really healthy. It’s so healthy it’s almost suspisciously healthy.
Not only has olive oil consumption been linked to a lower risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and several types of cancer, it also makes your other food more nutritious.
Thanks for taking one for the team, olive oil!

The Best Olive Oil Stores in Seville
I buy a lot of olive oil.
Like, potentially too much olive oil. So much olive oil that last time I had friends over, they were seriously concerned that I had my financial priorities very much out of order.
Apparently it’s not normal to have four types of olive oil in your house at any one time. Who knew?
The problem is, once you start buying olive oil, it’s hard to stop. There are so many types of extra virgin olive oil out there, each one as delicious as the last! Spain is home to almost 300 types of olives; that means there’s a lot of bottles you need to try!
When in Seville, my favourite olive oil stores are:
La Oleoteca de Sevilla
- Practical info:
- Address: Calle García de Vinuesa, 39
- Hours: 10:30am – 2pm, 5pm – 8pm Monday to Friday. 10:30am – 2pm on Sundays.
Halfway between the Cathedral and the Bullfighting Ring, La Oleoteca de Sevilla is as Spanish as it gets!
There’s an amazing number of olive oils on offer here, and the tasting table at the back of the room means you can always try a few before deciding which one to buy!
Ines Rosales
- Practical info:
- Address: Plaza de S. Francisco, 15
- Hours: 10am – 3pm, every day.
Ines Rosales is a famous name in olive oil. Not just a shop for olive oil, this Seville institution also sells a variety of olive oil-based products.
The most famous of these is their torta: crispy and flaky crackers made with an olive oil base, flavoured with everything from cinnamon to orange.
Oleoteca Gourmet La Chinata
- Practical info:
- Address: Calle Francos, 27
- Hours: 10am – 2pm and 4pm – 9pm, Monday to Friday. 11am – 9pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Founded in 1932, La Chinata is a family-run olive oil producer using traditional and organic methods. Today they’re in the fourth generation, and you can find their stores throughout Spain.
As well as some great extra virgin olive oil, you can also sample their other olive oil products, like soaps and cosmetics.
